On 21st February, 2013 Mostostal Zabrze – Holding signed the Contract agreement with BASF Polska for process plant for the production of heavy-duty and light-duty catalysts for mobile SCR (Selective catalytic NOx reduction) at BASF New Catalyst Plant in Środa Śląska.

The anticipated Contract value amounts to net PLN 146.8 million (including: 1st stage – ca. net PLN 74.6 million, optional 2nd stage – ca. net PLN 72.2 million). The works begin still in February. Completion of the Project is scheduled for the second half of 2014.

Mostostal Zabrze cooperates with numerous international companies for which it executes contracts on foreign markets. „Recently, we have signed the contract totalling PLN 118 million with DBT Technologies (Pty) Ltd for erection of the structure of Pulse Jet Fabric Filters in two world’s largest currently built coal-fired power plants in of South Africa.” – adds Bogusław Bobrowski.
BASF New Catalyst Plant in Środa Śląska is to be the largest such a facility in Europe. The plant will start production in the first quarter of 2014. All 10 planned light duty and heavy duty production lines will be fully operational until 2016. Additional expansion will follow, raising the total investment volume for the project to approximately € 150 million.
