MOSTOSTAL ZABRZE S.A. had pleasure in participating in SAFETY DAYS organized by Grupa LOTOS S.A. in the period 26-27 April at the construction site in Gdańsk, where works within EFRA project are carried out. It is worth mentioning that Grupa LOTOS S.A. arranged this event for the first time together with contractors.
Our company was responsible for organizing of presentation of safe work on scaffolding (by Rojam) as well as presentation of personal protective equipment (by Prosave).
At the end of Safety Days event Mostostal Zabrze handed over company’s t-shirts to all its staff involved in the project execution to thank for their engagement in safe work and achieving of 500 000 h zero accident performance.
It is noteworthy that Mostostal Zabrze on its own initiative conducted on site in Gdańsk already three editions of Safety Days. They referred to safe work at height, safe use of electrical equipment, and use of fall protection equipment.

Safety is the priority of our company. In the previous year Mostostal Zabrze worked 1 697 260 manhours, and LTIR at that time was 0,71. High standards of safety at construction sites have been acknowledged, among others, in 2016 with the first award in the contest „Build safely” for general contracting of the project named „Construction of MECHANICAL COMPONENTS MANUFACTURING PLANT with office and social area and auxiliary buildings located in Ropczyce” for Aero Gearbox International. Besides, in recent years our company was rewarded for maintaining high safety standards, including:
- „Contractor Excellence Award” within the „Project Quo Vadis. BASF Catalysts Plant, Środa Śląska”. Zero accidents
- „Safety Progress Award” for maintaining high safety stanards on site at Maasvlakte Power Plant in the Netherlands which is owned by E.ON
- Award for maintaining high safety standards – Construction of the Year. FORTUM Combined Heat and Power Plant in Częstochowa
