The Company from the Mostostal Zabrze Group signed a contract for the construction of the Child’s and Mother’s Health Centre (Centrum Zdrowia Matki i Dziecka) in Szpital Uniwersytecki im. Karola Marcinkowskiego w Zielonej Górze Sp. z o.o. The task will be implemented in the design-and-build system. The contract was signed between Mostostal Zabrze Gliwickie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego S.A. (MZ GPBP) and Szpital Uniwersytecki im. Karola Marcinkowskiego w Zielonej Górze Sp. z o.o. The value of the contract is PLN 98.7 million gross, and the planned date of the investment completion is the fourth quarter of 2020.

The Centre dedicated to women and their children will be a five-storey with an area of over 14 thousand sq.m. and over 170 hospital beds.

This is another contract related to the hospital construction industry that has been recently signed by MZ GPBP. Just a few weeks ago, the company signed an agreement to create a Hospital Emergency Ward with a landing pad in Zabrze. The contract value amounted to PLN 20.9 million nett, and the investment includes a three-storey extension of Szpital Miejski w Zabrzu by an Emergency Ward with the ambulance driveway and an operating block. A landing pad will be built above the roof level of the EW building. Additionally, the structure will be extended by a separate one-storey building which will house an Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit as well as a modernised operating block.

For many years the Company has been specialising in the construction, extension and modernisation of hospital facilities. In the previous years, the Company implemented a number of complex projects related to hospital facilities. Major projects included the Construction of the Oncology Centre – Maria Skłodowska-Curie Memorial Institute, branch in Gliwice (along with its extension, rebuilding and works relating to renovation and modernisation) and the Construction of the Radiology Department at the St. Luke Provincial Hospital in Tarnów (Szpital Wojewódzki im. św. Łukasza w Tarnowie).

• Teleradiotherapy Department in the Beskid Oncology Center in Bielsko-Biala (Beskidzkie Centrum Onkologii w Bielsku-Białej)
• Municipal Hospital in Zabrze – Biskupice (Szpital Miejski w Zabrzu – Biskupicach)
