On 21 May, 2014 the representatives of Mostostal Zabrze S.A., being simultaneously the Partner of the undertaking, attended the Economic Panel Discussion named “3 x Croatia” that took place at the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RIG) in Katowice. The event was initiated and under the patronage of the Honorary Consul of Republic of Croatia – Mr. Paweł Włodarczyk.

Apart from numerous companies representing various market sectors, the representatives of the Ministry of Economy as well as Economic Chambers participated in the panel discussion and presented the strategy of economic development and governmental investments in the Republic of Croatia for the years 2015-2020.

For Mostostal Zabrze this event was also an opportunity to present the Company’s offer during B2B meetings that may in the future result in contracts on the new export market, or become a chance to enlist new Partners for projects to be executed in Poland.

Having entered the EU the Republic of Croatia received EU funds equal to €1,3 billion. This amount is nine times higher than the previously available funds. In the second half of 2013 these resources increased by another € 0,5 billion coming from the Structural Funds. Beginning with 2014 the Republic of Croatia will receive EU funds of the value ranging from € 1,1 – 1,6 billion annually, i.e. € 8,3 billion in the nearest seven years. The Government is currently working on 9 project totalling € 650 million.
