On 12 April, 2017 Aero Gearbox International (AGI), a company established jointly by Rolls-Royce and Safran Transmission Systems (Safran) celebrated the opening of a new 13,500 sqm facility in Ropczyce (Podkarpackie, south-east Poland region).
Mostostal Zabrze S.A. (MZSA) which was the General Contractor of the Plant had pleasure to attend the Grand Opening ceremony.
Construction of the production facility along with office premises and auxiliary facilities began in December 2015 and the occupancy permit was issued October 31, 2016 as planned. In the process of construction General Contractor used also services of local subcontractors. At the peak there were around 360 employees working at site.
From the very beginning the key issue for delivery team was promotion of safe work and the set goal zero accidents. Not only was the goal achieved but also in November 2016 the General Contractor was awarded with the first place in the competition “Safe construction” organized by the National Labour Inspection in Rzeszow.
