On 20 May, 2013 Mostostal Zabrze-Holding S.A. signed the framework contract agreement with KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. for „Construction and erection works within the Project investment „Modernization of Pyrometallurgy Program – Erection of Suspension Roaster in the Copper Smelter Głogów I”. The guaranteed value of works within the framework agreement according to individual evaluation of particular facilities will amount to PLN 50 million.

The contract assumes completion of building and erection works based on the Building design and Detailed design within the construction and erection of about 80 facilities including the ones dedicated, among others, to batch preparation, metallurgical furnaces, process and ventilation gases dedusting, energy and transport management.
The works will be carried out within the years 2013 – 2015.

It’s worth mentioning that Mostostal Zabrze is already involved in the Project „Modernization of Pyrometallurgy Program” within the scope of supply of waste heat boiler downstream copper flash smelter. Mostostal Zabrze entered into contract with KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. on 26 July, 2012 for “Design supply, construction, erection, start-up and commissioning of waste heat boiler downstream copper flash smelter, with approx. maximum capacity 113 t of steam per hours and approx. maximum pressure of 66 bars, on a turnkey basis”.

Mostostal Zabrze closely cooperates with Oschatz GmbH – specialist company – on the completion of this project – a subcontractor of the following scope of supply: design and supply of technological part. Oschatz delivers similar waste heat boilers to cooper smelters around the world.

Total approximate contract value exceeds PLN 78 million. The project completion is due in July, 2015.
